This professional learning session is designed for middle school and K-8 administrators to deepen their understanding of content alignment in math classrooms. Participants will explore key components of content alignment, including standards-based instruction, curriculum fidelity, and the alignment of tasks and assessments to learning goals.
The session will feature:
- Interactive Learning: Collaborative discussions on best practices for observing and supporting rigorous, aligned instruction.
- Framework Application: Tools and strategies for identifying alignment during classroom observations.
- Classroom Walkthroughs: Guided walkthroughs of 6-8 Math classrooms with an emphasis on recognizing strong instructional alignment and providing actionable feedback to teachers.
