This professional learning session is designed for middle school and K-8 administrators to deepen their understanding of content alignment in math classrooms.  Participants will explore key components of content alignment, including standards-based instruction, curriculum fidelity, and the alignment of tasks and assessments to learning goals.

The session will feature:

  • Interactive Learning: Collaborative discussions on best practices for observing and supporting rigorous, aligned instruction.
  • Framework Application: Tools and strategies for identifying alignment during classroom observations.
  • Classroom Walkthroughs: Guided walkthroughs of 6-8 Math classrooms with an emphasis on recognizing strong instructional alignment and providing actionable feedback to teachers.

By the end of this session, participants will have the knowledge and tools to support and ensure high-quality, aligned instruction in their schools, fostering improved math outcomes for all students.
