Course Description
 More Details

Beat and rhythm are primary components of the elementary music curriculum, and rhythm literacy is vital in all forms of musicianship. Emphasizing rhythm skills builds a confident young musician that can function independently and within a musical group. In this workshop, teachers will become familiar with Orff-based pedagogical practices and explore fresh strategies to teach the components of rhythm. Teachers will learn the essential steps of creating fun and engaging lesson content using speech raps, body percussion, and classroom instruments and will be provided with instructional resources for immediate use in their music classroom.
