In this 3-hour session, participants will examine the impact of writing conferences on student writing performance. Participants will explore the research behind what makes effective writing conferences and strategies to enhance the use of writing conferences in the classroom. Participants will review the effectiveness of feedback provided to young writers and plan for a differentiated approach to writing supports based on the needs of the individual writer.  
 
This course is designed for educators supporting writers in grades 2-5.
