The Science Leadership trainings play a pivotal role in fostering academic excellence and professional growth within our high schools. Their responsibilities include:

  • Professional Development: Organizing and facilitating ongoing professional development opportunities for science educators to enhance their teaching skills and stay current with the latest educational trends and scientific advancements.
  • Leadership Training: Providing comprehensive leadership training to cultivate effective leaders within the science department, ensuring they are equipped to inspire and guide their teams.
  • Student Engagement: Implementing strategies to boost student engagement in science, fostering a love for learning and encouraging participation in science-related activities and competitions.
  • Effective Leadership Training: Delivering targeted training programs focused on developing effective leadership qualities, promoting a collaborative and innovative educational environment.

Our Science Leaders are dedicated to creating a supportive and dynamic learning atmosphere that empowers both teachers and students to achieve their full potential.

The focus of the final day is “putting it all together” for best design of lessons and classroom activities that engage students deeply in science. PL participants will engage in lesson exemplars that engage them actively in all of the practices of science and reflect on how the lesson and discourse design support student learning and on how to incorporate new instructional practices into their own lessons.
