Course Description:
This interactive training equips school and district administrators with the knowledge and tools needed to manage facility use through Facilitron, while aligning with district procedures, safety protocols, and community engagement goals.
Administrators will explore how to support safe, equitable, and efficient access to school facilities by mastering both the technical and strategic aspects of their role.
Key Topics Include:
- District Procedures & School Board Policies: Understanding governance around facility use and how to apply it consistently.
- Safety Protocols: Managing injury procedures, emergency preparedness, and risk mitigation during events.
- Fees, Waivers & Indirect Costs: Reviewing cost structures, processing waiver requests, and understanding fiscal impacts.
- Event Staffing: Coordinating custodial, security, and other staff to ensure safe and successful events.
- Revenue & Resource Management: Understanding how facility use contributes to school budgets and resource planning.
- Community Access & Engagement: Building strong community hubs through intentional, inclusive facility access.
- Communication Best Practices: Effectively interacting with renters, internal teams, and other stakeholders.
- Software Training: Hands-on training in Facilitron’s features, including request approval, messaging, reporting, and scheduling.
- Calendar & Scheduling Coordination: Managing school and community events to avoid conflicts and maximize usage.
