Course Description
The purpose of this training is to utilize the WIDA Can Do Descriptors and ELLevation strategies to enhance instruction for ELLs. Additionally, this training will introduce the ELLevation platform and its professional development component.
Participants will:
- Navigate the ELLevation platform
- Identify ELL students
- Interpret WIDA ACCESS for ELLs scores to drive instruction
- View Can Do Descriptors
- Find and implement ELLevation strategies and other ELL scaffolds
- Explore ELL professional development opportunities
We will also discuss the use of cognates, visual aids, and dictionaries to support ELL instruction.
