Course Description More Details
In this HYBRID professional development experience, participants will take their reading practice to the next level by joining other likeminded K-5th grade educators in an in-depth literacy institute focused on aligning small group instruction to the science of reading. HCPS elementary educators in this institute will benefit from training through the University of Florida Lastinger Center for Learning, earning 30 hours of explicit reading inservice points towards the Florida reading requirement for recertification. A stipend of $15 per hour is available for the 16 hours of seat time. Participants must attend the virtual and face-to-face sessions and complete self-paced learning through the Lastinger Center Flamingo Learning platform for course completion.
